Turn Photo to Comic Book

You have read may comic books and enjoy, now you have a chance to learn how to cturn photo to comic art effect in photoshop. I will do it by using some filter and layer styles.

Take any picture; I have taken a bridge picture for the learning purpose. 

Make duplicate layer by press Ctrl + J key and apply paint daubs filter effect, go Filter menu > Artistic > Paint Daubs, adjust brush size "1" and sharpness "6" with brush type "Simple".

Now apply grain on the whole picture, go Filter menu > Texture > Grain, adjust the values in the Intensity and contrast.

You have now two pictures, you have to mix both picture so adjust the blending mode and opacity in the layer palette.

Finally apply brightness and contrast on the picture, go Image menu > Adjustment > Brightness/Contrast, put same values.

This is the final result.
