Cracked Field

Follow this example and learn how to create cracked field effect in Photoshop, it can be applied on any picture. I have done it by using of filter and style color adjustment and hope you like and enjoy.

Start with a land picture, I have taken this picture for the modification, you can also use it.  

Now I am going to make color adjustment to look like a desert land. Go Image menu > Adjustment > Hue/Saturation, adjust the slider on right values.

In this step I need a spider net effect on the whole land picture, I am going to apply "Stained Glass" filter. Select foreground and background color (Black and white) take a new layer and fill Black color. Go Filter menu > Texture > Stained Glass) and adjust cell size, border thickness and light Intensity.

Now you should have a net picture and make selection of the line, go Select menu > Modify > Color range, click "Eye dropper" on the line and come to land picture layer. Press Ctrl + I to invert selection and press Ctrl +, C Ctrl + V.

You would have a cut land picture, right click and choose "Skew" option. Select right bottom anchor point and pull right side and do it same on the left bottom anchor point.

Now you have to apply bevel effect on, go Layer menu > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss. Choose color and adjust angle with size soften and depth.

The cracked field picture is completed.
