Cracked Text Effect

This is a cracked text effect tutorial in photoshop cs6, you will learn a different technique to convert a text into a cracked text effect. I have describe the technique by the simple steps so follow them and create yourself this text effect.

Starting with a new document and adjust the size of that and select Text Tool (T key) and adjust the formatting and color as done below picture.

Now type any text on the document with selected "#81888b" color, it should be one character and word. I have written a alphabet "C".

Click on "Add a layer style" in the layer Platte and choose pattern overlay option then make selection of the pattern as done below picture.

Click on again "Add a layer style" in the layer Platte and choose Bevel and Emboss option and adjust all the settings to apply bevel effect on whole text.

Now apply stroke on the text by clicking on "Add a layer style" in the layer Platte and adjust color settings as done below.

The cracked text should be like this.

Make shadow of the text that is the final text effect.
